I believe that in the signing session you have to sign a paper that gives u an estimate about how much each semester is which is around 6,000 per semester just in tuition. My balance for summer is around 6,200 but since I did not use all of my financial aid money during spring and fall, it'll cover around half, so I only have to pay out of pocket around 3,000. They told us the books tend to be the most expensive during the 1st semester but it'll lower throughout the following semesters because we'll use some of the books throughout the semester so it's less books to purchase for the following semester. Right now the print plus the ebook is around 609 and the ebook alone is around 356. They did inform us that there is a scholarship for books that is worth $300 but im not sure how they select the students for that scholarship, maybe it random. For the contract signing your only going to pay for your 3 pairs of scrubs and your background check plus the drug screen. I believe I paid around 180 for my scrubs which is probably the most you'll pay because I choose the cargo scrub pants which are more expensive than the regular scrub pants that don't have pockets on the sides. I also did not purchase the lab coat because it was optional and dont really need it. The background check plus the drug screen is around 90 or 100 (i really dont remember) and the drug screen you need to do it at the place you choose on the computer. They will also be giving you more information during your contract signing about the program. As of right now I've only bought my shoes, 2 pen lights, 2 trauma shears, and a whitecoat nurses edition clipboard. A nursing student told us that we dont need to buy a stethoscope so i'm assuming they'll provide one for us. Since I will be starting my 1st semester in the nursing program this summer, this is all the information I have. Hope it helped!!!

Not that i know of..you should click the link that purpleplum33 has up above for group me. Some of us are in that group message and always ask one another questions regarding the program. Its easier and faster to get a reply than this forum.

Happy 1st day of Summer term to all of you!! :) I hope your day was amazing!

I'm applying for the Fall and I have a quick question that is also regarding financial aid. So I heard that the SON has many scholarships that they apply to your account automatically if you meet the requirements and are selected for them. Is that true? If so, how soon will you know that you have received those scholarships?

Thats is true and you can view your finacial aid i think like 2 weeks before classes start or you can always ask the person in the nursing program thats in charge of our financial aid that same month.
