Is anyone else planning on applying to UNLV SON for the summer 2014 start?

Yeah I called and for sure Monday it's a wrap. Do you think they base the acceptance on overran points or hesi score more? Cause I saw someone on here had an 89.4 and my friend with an 89.7 didn't get a call?

Its is debatable...it was the same thing in fall as well. To be honest only people who know how you truly get in is the nursing dept. but dang, knowing that there is still a chance i can get in is killing me. What has got me going crazy is that we dont know how many people they have to call left. It could maybe be as high as 10 people or as little as 5 people left. It really is driving me insane this weekend :(

And what did your friend get on the Hesi?

Yeah me too...but I thought about it the whole weekend. .I guess it was a good and bad thing you were told that. Lol yeah I think that unless your science based gpa is super high, you need a 90 or above on the HESI. I remember last summer my friend applied and when she went to see an advisor they told her retake the hesi and try to get a 90 or higher because she only had an 88

I doubt I'll ever get in :( that's my score and last attempt... My only hope is to retake chem and have 90 points overall.. Sigh I'm trying to be positive but it's really hard.

Yeah its my last attempt too and id have to do the same to get into the 90s. But chem 108 is 10x harder than the first time I took it :(

You guys can do it ! I have taken biol 224 twice, taken math twice , taken chem 110 chem 111 and chem 108 and am currently taking biol 223 again, and I am not ashamed of it lol . If you really want this , keep your commitment . I got the grades I needed on the first attempt for the most part, but it didn't stop me from retaking classes just to get that A over a B. Each time I retook a class I got the results I wanted. So don't give up Rose :)
