UNLV SON Summer 2014

Is anyone else planning on applying to UNLV SON for the summer 2014 start?

Ron, you're almost a lock to get in. Anyone with 92 pts and above are almost guaranteed to get in. Anybody with 90 pts are less should be a little more worried. The cutoff for for the Spring 2014 semester was about 90 pts, the cutoff for Fall 2013 was 91 i believe and the cutoff for summer 2013 was 87 pts. Summer has a history of being a less competitive semester due to people due to Financial Aid not being normally available and most people wanting to enjoy the summer so you never know.

I took my HESI today and I officially have 94.9 points!!!!! I'm confident but also nervous because it is getting more competitive! It makes me feel more confident that not many people are commenting on this thread... So maybe not many people are applying this summer? Good luck to everyone!!!!!! I can't wait to meet everyone! My signing session is this Friday at 11.

yeah the summer is generally the semester that most people do not apply for, but Idk about this semester, it seems like things are changing now.

Are you guys enrolled in classes this semester at UNLV? I finished my classes last semester and decided to not take credits this semester...now I'm worried if that will hurt me?

Nevermind, the admissions website says you are still admitted to UNLV until you do not take at least 1 credit for 2 consecutive semesters.

Congrats on the HESI score Jordan. :) I don't think one semester out will hurt you, especially since you're applying. I could be wrong but penalizing someone for sitting out the semester in which they are applying seems unfair. Now 3 semesters off is another story. I'm sure you'll get in the program just fine with the scores you have achieved. We all just need to take a breather and be optimistic. I agree with Brian that anything over a 92 is a shoe-in. :) Happy thoughts!

Good luck to everyone to has a signing session today and tomorrow!!! So I called the nursing dept and there arr still signing sessions available. So maybe thats a sign not alot of people are applying lol

Lets hope! I'm On my way to campus. I know nothing happens today but still....I'm so excited/nervous. 3 years of pre-reqs all while getting married and starting a family...finally it's here. :) woot woot Good luck everyone!
