UNLV SON Spring '19

Published

For applicants to the nursing program at UNLV Spring 2019! :)

May I ask why your so set on going to UNLV? I missed the deadline for NSC and wasn't able to apply but I would be super excited if I got accepted! I actually have a friend who dropped out of UNLV and transferred to NSC. He loves it the there actually lol I'm not sure whose program is better but either way you shouldnt be nervous about getting in when your starting nursing school regardless if you get into unlv!!

Thanks! AND WHAAAAAT. I am going, too so see you there! Maybe we'll get our call during orientation, hahaha.

NSC is a great program! I'm ecstatic that I got in, especially since it took me two tries to finally get in. The only difference in the program is NSC is a little cheaper and the program is longer.

But for me, I prefer to graduate at UNLV since I started at UNLV and I have a lot of friends that are more familiar with the program there. :)

I see that everyone's points are all in the 90's which is great! I'm applying with ~95.6 points. During my first attempt, I applied with 91.3 but I retook 223 and 251 during summer so that helped raise my points a lot. I believe there were about 8 or 9 people at my signing session on 10/5.

@esmiig

Most of my family graduated from UNLV, and I have always wanted to go there. I am excited of course, but I'd be more excited if I get a call from UNLV. I trust God's plan, and whatever plan he has for me, I am happy that I am finally going to start my journey to becoming an amazing nurse. :) NSC has a really good program, and I have few friends who are in their program right now and they love it. I like both school. I just prefer to go to UNLV and finish faster. :)

OMG! I will see you! I wish I knew how you look like in person. LOL. You will get your call for sure. I am not sure about me. If I do get in (hoping & praying), I'd prolly get a call on the very last day. :(

This is why I am so stressed out. Many people has been applying with very high scores, so my chances are like 0.01%, but I am trying to stay positive. I hope I do get in.

I'm sure most of us on this forum would get in. Did you guys pick your contract sign in dates yet? And what time are the contract sign in dates?

Do you want me to meet up?! HAHAHA.

@justtrynagraduate

Yes! I will be there probably before 8. Did you get the email? I don't think people are interested in reading our conversation about NSC, lol so you can email me at [email protected] and we could talk from there. Haha

@forevertired Yea, I wish the best of luck to everyone! Anyone with 93s shouldn't be worried at all. You guys will get in for sure :) Based on my calculation of the total applicants, it's about 60-65.

What time do they usually start calling?
