UNLV NURSING Summer 2022 Cohort

Hi everyone! I created this in order for us UNLV pre-nursing students who are applying for Summer 2022 admission and to share HESI A2 exam scores. Feel free to ask questions and you may share your calculation points you are applying with. I am planning on taking my HESI mid-November or December 2021. 

I’m applying for Summer 2022 admission with:

HESI: I haven' taken yet. 

KIN 223 (3 attempt points): A

KIN 224 (3 attempt points): IN PROGRESS

BIOL 251: A (taken at CSN)

CHEM 108: B (3 attempt points)

NURS 299 (3 attempt points): IN PROGRESS

MATH 124 (2 attempt points): A

NOTE:

I will post my calculation points once I receive my grades for HESI, KIN224, and NURS299.

I've been calling the department and no one is answering..

Total points: 99.8

I am applying to the UNLV Summer 2021 nursing program. I have all attempt points and have already taken my HESI and received a 92.5%. I also have rebel recognition. 

My grades are:

Math 124 A

KIN 223  A-

KIN 224 A

CHEM 108 A

BIOL 251 A

NURS 299 A

I believe my total points that I am applying with is 97.1 with rebel recognition included. ?

Hi, I have a quick question.
Do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I retake HESI?

I am taking it the first time in a few days, I am not sure I will have time to take another one before I apply.

I am really scared! I just took TEAS a few days ago, but I heard HESI is even harder

For UNLV, I believe you don't have to wait a certain amount of time to retake the HESI. You just have to make sure you find an area to take it if you end up taking it in-person. Also, keep in mind that they take the most recent HESI exam score if you do plan on retaking it.

Hey! They do not take the most recent score, they take the highest score ? I confirmed this with SON about 2 weeks ago. So let’s say you retake your HESI but you did better on your first attempt than you did the last, they can take your first attempt.

I did not know this. I was always told by the health science academic advisors that they only take the most recent.

Thank you! I recently finished KIN 224…so the anatomy and physiology info was still fresh. I only used Nursehub premium subscription to study and did all the practice tests they had.
