I am just wondering how many others have done this program successfully and was the clinical component difficult to set up in your area? Any experiences are much appreciated. :)

I would guess that getting the clinical program set up would be difficult as it usually is for most people doing this type of program. You might want to discuss this with someone at the school to find out if anyone has completed the program in the past in your area. Perhaps you could use the same resources.
This clinical piece has me nervous, I'm beginning to think the online thing won't be a possibility. *sigh
I dropped the idea of doing such a program in my area when I could get no feedback from anyone else in the area regarding their clinical arrangements. However, now there is another program in the area where the school has set up the clinical sites for the students, as it should be. Students should not be given that responsibility. It is next to impossible to arrange; nobody wants to talk to a student about issues regarding liability and use of resources.
I had read through older posts and there were a couple posters stating to be attending UofW but no response.
I am fearful of starting a program that I won't be able to finish due to the clinical component. Did you ever
go for your BSN? My closest program is about 45 minutes away so that is why an online program would
work so much better for me. But, maybe I'll have to wait to go for my BSN another year. I was accepted at the program 45 minutes away but don't know if it will work with my schedule right now.

You can do what my friend did - she called around and asked. She was wondering about this issue as well... and surely does not want to start a program that she might not be able to finish.
You can find the basic parameters for the clinical on their website to help you when asking questions.
My friend called and talked to the Public Health department. It did take several calls to find the right person... but she now has an idea of a few areas that she could do the clinical.
And when she told them that it would be focusing on education / community health they very willing to help her make connections.

I do have a non for profit agency with a BSN nurse who is willing to precept me. I emailed them to see if this would be an acceptable agency. So, here's hoping. A couple of older posts showed some nurses who had started uofw, I emailed a couple but don't know if they are even posting anymore unfortunately.
