Hi! Wondering if anyone else applied or heard from this program??
CodeBrownNoMore said:I just realized they didn't ask for a resume LOL, I must've had horrifying letters or I very likely botched my essay, although I asked a lot of people to read it and got nothing but positive feedback. At this point I think a lot of schools hate traveling nurses, I think that's my biggest weakness. I already had one school tell me straight up that they rejected me only because I am a traveler, and if I would've been staff they would've offered me an interview ?
I think my GPA was a huge selling point too, they didn't ask for resumes but they asked for transcripts which would show it.
They could be waiting to fill all interview slots before they reject anyone, so if someone declines to interview or doesn't respond before their deadline they will move on and offer the time slot to the next best person. They might also be doing batch responses and haven't sent out the second wave of offers, who knows? Not me ?

This waiting game is brutal, especially when you've only gotten R's so far this cycle! I'm convinced I might have to go back to staff to even have a shot, I've gotten told already by the first schools that rejected me straight up that my biggest weakness was being a traveler. Like WOW!? I'm working at level 1's as a traveler and taking on some of the sickest patients, I'm even doing rapid response and charge because the staff is all new nurses! Yet two of the nurses I work with currently have barley one year of experience and they both have already gotten acceptances to multiple schools ???

Congrats!! Good luck with the interview! Do you also have a date to where you have to respond by? I still haven't gotten anything, which is okay ?, have they put out the dates when they're conducting interviews? I know St. Mary's is early November, just wondering when La Crosse is doing theirs!
