Well they didn't send anything through my uwg e-mail. Totally stressing now I graduated from there in the spring with a BS Biology and went on to grad school elsewhere but hated it. So am technically a "returning student", they conditionally accepted me back while waiting on my transcripts which were confirmed to be received the beginning of Jan... still waiting for the "official" letter of acceptance back in to UWG. Have a 3.79 undergrad gpa. So I feel like I have a decent chance of acceptance, but now I'm freaking out that there's a kink somewhere. Thank goodness you started this forum lol.

My gpa is 3.57 ... It is like a crap shoot half the people I talk to have lower GPA's and half have higher. Maybe I will be lucky enough that mine is just high enough. I am stressing so bad.

So @mytwoboysmom they already sent YOU AN INVITATION TO THE WRITING SESSION FOR THE SUMMER 2013 ENTRANCE? Help me understand because I just checked my UWG email and i didnt recieve anything from them. I was told by the nursing advisor that the inivites would be sent through the MAIL? Help me understand!! Im starting to stresss!!!!

I called my advisor yesterday and she said certain students that took part in an Excel nursing organization were emailed by the women running it. That it wasn't for everyone so not to be concerned. Don't stress :)

I have no idea how I got the email and you didn't. At the meeting they said that if you have activated your "Course Den" They sent it out to all pre-nursing students. What it really was was a introduction to the new "pre-nursing" support group. This would have been helpful if I were a freshman, as it was all it did was give me an idea of what to expect during the writing session.

Does anyone know what the average GPA is that they are looking at? I am stressing so bad I feel like there is snakes in my belly. If my GPA is too low, I would like to know that, so I can start studying for the TEAS.

@mytwoboysmomI am attending Atlanta Metropolitan State College and this is my last semester. I am accepted to UWG, so that pre nursing organization would not apply to me because I am not enrolled at UWG. I attend another University of GA system school.

I've been emailing the nursing department and my gpa is a 3.2 and she said that was good standing... So I'm sure a 3.5 isn't bad at all! I just really hope we all get in! I know my gpa is a little low, but I'm hopeful.

@AshBrock1091 my GPA is a little low too, I'm still tryna understand this whole cumulative average GPA calculator that they use. I understand the reason why but how do they calculate it? Do you know? I'm super nervous! I will be checking my mail everyday!! LOL

I have also applied to the UWG's nursing program for summer 2013..so nerve racking!!! I'm just hoping that I even make it to the writing session, I have a B.S. in business so I don't know if the classes that I have taken at my other schools will be transferred in . My overall gpa is about a 3.1...so hoping I get to see you ladies at the writing session!!!!!

I am so glad you started this thread! I applied too. My GPA is on the lower side - 3.2. I have a BA so I'm hoping that helps! I didn't receive an invitation to any kind of pre-party or I definitely would have gone. Thank you for posting details. I am anxiously awaiting the writing invitation!
