OMG, I am so glad that someone created a thread 🙂! I am awaiting acceptance as well. I live in Jacksonville and started my career as a LPN. I spent 3 years as a LPN before getting my ASN in 2020 and now I am currently finishing my BSN in December. Cutting it close but the enrollment counselor assured me that I could apply for Spring. I've worked in many different specialties but for the past 2 years I've been working at a Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital. Goodluck to everyone! The waiting is already killing me, especially since my bachelors isn't officially completed.
@NurseNesha2024 I am so happy there is someone else out there with me. I understand about the BSN because I am counting the days until graduation in December. I originally wanted to wait until Summer or next fall to apply. However, I work closely with a former teacher (not this school) and NP who said the first year is like basic (harder) courses and I should not wait. So I bit the bullet and applied for Spring. I didn't think the waiting would kill me so badly. The only bad thought is if I don't get in for early acceptance I have to do this until mid-November 😩
@NurseNesha2024 yes, that was the same mentality. Keep Going! My advisor told me I should hear something between Oct 4-9. So not too long before we know.
Hey!! I live in Mobile, been nursing since 2019 experience in med-surg/tele, psych, and LTC. I'm also waiting to hear a decision ! I've been sitting on pins and needles. I finish my BSN program in Dec. at UWF as well, and I did applied elsewhere. So I'm waiting on decisions from both programs. However, I'm already familiar with UWF and their program is a bit more affordable! 🙂
Hi @NrseNae19! I'm curious how they are calculating our GPA since we haven't completed our BSN yet? 🤔 The affordability was definitely something that grabbed my attention. Have you heard anything about the FNP program? I wish you the best!

I'm thinking maybe they're using whatever is already calculated from the unofficial transcript. & I haven't heard any personal reviews on the program, but I think the most challenging part will be trying to find practicum sites. & good luck to you too. my counselor told me yesterday we should be hearing something soon! *fingers crossed

That makes sense. I've been busting my butt, making all As in my BSN thus far! The wait is horrible LOL. I hope we all hear good news soon!
@NrseNae19 welcome! My advisor said hopefully something between 10/4-10/9 so I am stuck on refreshing haha. How do you like UWF since you are already enrolled there? I like UWF for the affordability part. When looking to other schools I know they offer skills labs and such for their FNP students and I don't believe this school does. Does that justify $20k+ no not really. Good Luck to you and hopefully we will all be in touch and starting 2025 together!

Hello Anyone! I am currently awaiting acceptance into the UWF FNP Spring 2025 Cohort. Is there anyone else a sitting duck with me? I am beyond nervous but also excited to get this journey started. A little about me: I live in the Pensacola area and currently work as a full-time M-F Clinical RN. I spent my first years as an RN working PCU and Covid Pts. I dabbled a bit of time as a Circulator in the OR and now work in Oncology. Good Luck to anyone else waiting with me.
