Can anyone that’s in the program or done it give me some insight into theirs? Do you go there for a skills lab? How are the instructors? Do you feel prepared? Amy information is appreciated.

UWF-FNP-student said: I am currently in the program. There is zero guidance. It is 100% self-taught. Reflective analysis by the instructors may or may not consist of 3 words (my longest). You'll need to be prepared for this. They also bring in questions not in the text or assigned chapters, so don't limit yourself by "assigned chapters", and be prepared to expand your education on your own. Also, my first semester, students were arguing, and successfully, test questions. The UWF answer was to shut down this opportunity. You will not have the opportunity to review questions and answers and will have to deduce on your own where you are deficient in either knowledge or test-taking skills. What I am saying, come into the program realizing you are on your own, and work hard from that. It's a means to an end, and the real question is how much are you willing to invest to ultimately graduate yourself? If it's not worth it without some institutional resources helping you, or you want actual instruction, this isn't the program for you.

Hi. I'm on my 3rd semester at UWF. we are receiving some guidance. It's not a "lecture" but some instructors are reviewing material before exams. Some instructors are better than others. If u have (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES/IDENTIFYING INFO PER THE TERMS OF SERVICE) u are veryyyyyyyy lucky. Start praying if u have (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES/IDENTIFYING INFO PER THE TERMS OF SERVICE). It's hard but it's do-able. Living off of 3hrs of sleep every single day. But it's not forever. Our grad class made a Facebook group that helps immensely!

Hello fellow students. Came here to see if other students were experiencing some of the same hardships I was after being really confused on my performance in the class because I am normally a higher performing student. Currently in my third semester and the material that is to be tested on is not clear with material added to tests that isn't part of the reading, online learning program, or in the videos sent to view in the module. The grading is all over the place and there is no way to know why points are being deducted so one can learn the missed subject matter or even dispute confusing questions because we get brief and inconclusive grade response.
I have found from previous classes if you are in the main course professors class, they truly care about the performance of the students but the outside or part timers do not.
There is not doubt this is 100 percent self taught and that the guidance is lacking. Praying I make it to clinicals because I feel I will learn more there with a great clinical instructor.

If u made it thru pharm your fine. My friend is in clincals and she says her preceptor is FNP and doesn't teach anythinggggggg. He keeps telling her to go find out or look it up. That's it. Are you in a facebook group with your grad class? Last exam one of the students made a quizlet that was 90% of the exam. It's like u said 100% self-taught. Most online schools are structured this way unfortunately. I'm studying 15-20hrs a week consistently. It's extremely hard but we got this!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
