Hey guys!

I applied for UW's FNP program this upcoming fall and I wanted to see if anyone else applied and for what track. Also any information on when acceptance letters/e-mails will be sent out would be appreciated. :)

Specializes in Medical-Surgical Oncology.

Update: Unfortunately I got my rejection letter today. It was expected but I'll try again next cycle. Congrats to everyone who did get in! ❤️

I bet you will definitely get in! hopefully you'll hear shortly after the 14th. I got waitlisted at 2 other schools and was just let into 1 of them this week (they didn't tell me where I fell though). I know the waitlist is a hard place to be on but I would be really surprised if you didn't. good luck!

Thanks so much! Happy to hear you got in to one of your waitlisted schools as well! Congrats!

Hi everyone! I got my acceptance letter on Friday for the Autumn start DNP PMHNP program. I'm struggling to find an online Stats class that was on the approved course list. All of the Spring classes are already full or in-person. If anyone knows of any online self paced stats class please share 🙂

Hey! Simone (the lady who runs the info sessions) suggested Math 110 with portage learning. She said it's not on the list but they've been using it for years and it's approved.

Meant to add that it is self paced!

I am taking STATS&146 intro to statistics through Tacoma Community College right now, I was on the waitlist (wayyy down on it) but I ended up getting in so I would try that even if its full! They offer different online only or in-person ones too. I just did the all online one.

OMG THANK YOU!

Hi all! Was also accepted! Wondering if any of you plan to continue working during the first year?

That's awesome, congrats! Would you mind sharing your stats? I unfortunately didn't get in this cycle but planning on reapplying for next yr along with other schools

Hi! Congratulations! I plan to work. I'm aiming for a 0.8 during the first year.

Hello! Thank you

That is a great idea to re-apply! I applied to two schools just to be safe!

I was really shocked about getting in honestly. I had a  3.69 GPA- but I think I had a lot of weight behind work experience because I had 8 years ICU experience which included work in Australia and New Zealand.

When I was doing the applications, I really focused on those essays and trying to emphasize my own personality and used descriptive examples of experiences to answer the questions!

I hope this helps and I'm sure you will get in the second round! There's a lot of value in re-applying twice 🙂

Thanks for letting me know! I do 3x12s, so hoping to keep that up. The PDF they sent outlining the 20 hour work week suggestion spooked me a little.

Quick update: I applied to the extended May deadline and got accepted to UW's Adult-Gero track this autumn after initially getting rejected for the FNP track!! Talk about whip lash LOL. Congrats to everyone
