Hey guys!

I applied for UW's FNP program this upcoming fall and I wanted to see if anyone else applied and for what track. Also any information on when acceptance letters/e-mails will be sent out would be appreciated. :)

Hi! I applied to the 2025 DNP program as well. The speciality track I chose was PNP - AC. I am hoping that we hear back soon. I have heard that the FNP program accepts significantly more students in each cohort when compared to the peds NP track. I'm wishing you all of the best! Hopefully we find out this week.

Hi! I applied to the FNP track. I'm not holding my breath for an acceptance though. I applied a little bit on a whim and probably didn't give the essays as much effort as I should have, but you never know! I feel like during the info session, she said they should have acceptance offers going out by March 13th but I may be totally wrong. I did read last year offers were made during the first week of March.

LOL I also applied on a whim yet I'm still anxious about hearing back. I also saw that people got emails/calls on March 8 or the end of the first week last year. I don't mind waiting for the next cycle as well to get more experience/volunteer work done. I hope we all get in though!

I've also become anxious about it for some reason. I think waiting on anything is challenging. What is your work background if you don't mind me asking? I'm always curious about if they accept people with a specific type of work history. I have been a nurse for 4 years. 1.5 in step down neuro/cardiac and 3 in the emergency room. I volunteer for a medical mission every year and at the local humane society.

I have 2 years med/surg oncology experience. I was thinking about transitioning to the ED as I heard it helps set you up for FNP. I've also done some volunteer work for unhoused populations and shadowed a couple FNPs. Do you plan on working FT/PT during the program?

That's great that's you have that volunteer experience! If I get in (and that's a big if) I'll try to work full time for as long as possible. I managed to work full time overnights when I was in nursing school but I know this is a different ball game. If I can work full time for the first year, that would be ideal. I'll try to work part time during the rest, but we'll see.

Hi,

I applied for PNP-PC track. I talked to school and they told me that it will be today or Monday. I am so nervous!! I hope everyone here gets in! I have 2 years of peds experience and 6 years in adults.

Have anyone heard from school yet?

OMG today or Monday! I hope we find out today! Fellow peds nurse here. I will be cheering you on! ❤️

I applied for the PMHNP track! I have been a nurse for 8+ years, critical care, and labor and delivery. I just want to know so I can stop checking my email over and over! Good luck everybody 🙂
