University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Spring 2024

Published

Hey Everyone!

I am excited to start this journey. I didn't see a topic for this program yet so I thought I would start one.

My Stats:

TEAS - 92.9%

Science GPA - 4.0

Overall GPA - 3.8

Specializes in pre-nursing.

Everybody who's been accepted has had above a 90 on the TEAS according to this thread? Maybe their sending it out based on that

Well dang I guess it's not based on that. What's your last initial

I feel like it's not based on alphabet either because a girl with a P got accepted and you're right next to her in it. I guess we will just have to wait until Monday and see

I have the same stats as someone that just got admitted so I don't know at this point. I checked MyStar earlier today and it still says active and complete.

Goodluck! The wait is super frustrating but hopefully we all get in!

And also some undergrad research experience and clinic experience

Do you already have a degree?

Did y'all have plenty of volunteer and clinical experience also? I think that's the deciding factor in this super early round of acceptances. Also a good personal statement and resume.

Yes I did! I had hospital experience and have shadowed a private NP. Do you already have an undergrad degree?

No volunteer work but I've been working as a surgical assistant, teaching undergrad health science courses, and working as a nursing clinical coordinator for over 10 years. I have a B.S. and M.S. in Health Science. I thought I was good on the resume front and I got the thumbs up on my personal statement from several people at UTMB. I don't know what I could be missing.

I'm sure your time is coming! You've done so much and have great stats. Did your in law say anything about the waves since one has already been released?
