I just got accepted to USN's Accelerated BSN program. I will start in august and I'm done in 18 months. I live in CA and have applied to BSN programas here also, but they are 3 years long including the summers. USN is a private school and I am a little worried that the 18 months is too good to be true. I am very worried that when I am done with this program that I will not be able to get licenced in CA. From what I understand I must take the NCLEX in NV since I got my degree there; then in order to work in CA I must try to get endorsed into the state to get registered. I am affraid that I will have to take a bunch of extra classes in order to get regestered in CA. USN is also very expensive, but I get out 1.5 years early with my BSN. I figure that I can make close to a 80,000-100,000 in that year and half so it would be worth it. Any info you want to shoot my way would be awsome.

Hey guys! Congrats to you all that got into USN's fall 2010 program! I just got an interview and I'm prepping for it. I just wanted to know how you guys are liking it and coping with it? (And the city if you are new to the city/area?) Thanks. :)

Hey, i got into USN's BSN program for january 2011. How does anyone like it? What are the best places to live???

Inspiration. - Any pointers? What was your GPA like? I just faxed over my unofficial transcripts today for the ABSN program. My grades barely made the minimum. I went to low tier UC who are limited in resources. I am feeling so down about this. Please help...

Hey! I didn't apply to the ABSN program but for the traditional, I was right about the minimum. Lol. My interview went great. Don't stress. It isn't ALL about grades (as it shouldn't be). Just be persistent and do well in your interview. You will be fine! :)

I'm applying for the January 2011 cohort as well! Any tips for the interviews? What kind of questions did they ask?

Hi all,

Just wondering, has anyone ever been denied of acceptance at USN? because it sounds like they pretty much accept all from what I've read so far after you've been interviewed. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank's!

Yeah they pretty much take anyone and everyone, as long as you can pay.

However, if you are not a good test taker (got in by the skin of your academic credentials), be prepared to remediate (which means you fall back to the class below you, and your program goes from being an 18 month program to a 24 month program.)
