University of Southern Maine ABSN 2018?

Hey guys,

I applied to USM's ABSN program for the May 2018 start date. It's only been a few weeks, but I'm dying to know if I got accepted.

I had a 3.8 GPA in undergrad and I just finished a CNA course. Are there any current students who can tell me if I'm a competitive candidate for the program?

Anyone else apply and are waiting anxiously for the results too?

I'm taking a prereq there starting January anyway so when I signed up they gave me the login info. but maybe it's in the email they sent after you applied? I'm assuming they've mailed letters since it's on my portal tho so hopefully they'll be coming.

Congratulations! I can't access my Maine Street, but hopefully letters are out in the mail then? Again, congratulations!

Yeah I'm assuming they've been mailed bc it seems like in the past they've posted it to Maine street after they've mailed them. I'm crossing my fingers for everyone!

Shoot. I was able to log in to mainestreet but no check mark, just a green circle. So I'm assuming I didn't get in. Oh well. Thanks for letting us know about your checkmark!

So I called admissions to see if decisions had all been mailed and posted in mainestreet, and they looked up my account and said no decision had been made on my application yet. So, I'm assuming decisions go out in waves. They did say when decisions are passed to them they are posted in mainestreet! So a check means you're in for sure! Maybe I'm waitlisted? Or maybe decision waves?

Yeah I think they do go in waves! So don't worry yet! They definitely post at different times

How did you login to your Maine Street account without signing up for classes? I'm trying to figure it out in the hopes that perhaps my decision is in. Waiting is so hard.

I'm an alumnus of USM, so had an account already in mainestreet. The woman I spoke with in admissions was really helpful, so if you're anxious with the waiting (understandably so) I'd just call USM admissions and they'll look up your account for you and let you know if a decision has been posted on your application!
