Hey guys,
I applied to USM's ABSN program for the May 2018 start date. It's only been a few weeks, but I'm dying to know if I got accepted.
I had a 3.8 GPA in undergrad and I just finished a CNA course. Are there any current students who can tell me if I'm a competitive candidate for the program?
Anyone else apply and are waiting anxiously for the results too?

Allison I think you are competitive. They probably will not hand out acceptance letters until after the application deadline. I am applying to USM as well.

I also applied and am waiting! It's absolutely terrifying. I wonder how many people applied total.

Hi! I heard that they won't let people know until the end of december!

Hi,
I applied too - I am also really nervous and anxious to hear! I work in advertising and graduated with a completely unrelated BA, my GPA was about a 3.9. I am currently working through the pre-reqs and do I have medical experience, so we will se if I get in!
Otherwise, where else is everyone from New England applying? I live in Germany but am from Connecticut and plan on moving back to New England for nursing school!
I also applied to Emory (got in!), Simmons, UC Denver, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, and Rochester. Waiting on all the schools/other variables (financial aid) is agonizing.
Yeah i've seen past posts and people received letters anywhere between the first week of December and the very end of the month. I'm hoping we hear back sooner rather than later.
Let's hope it's sooner rather than later... I think we will all be suffering through Christmas waiting if we don't hear by then!
Does anyone know if it'll be a small envelope or a big one? I read somewhere that it was a small envelope but now I can't remember if that was for USM or a different school.

I received a small envelope, but it was also a rejection letter. I don't really know what I could have done better, but I sent Admissions an email asking how I could be better for next time. Best of luck (and congratulations) to everyone who got it! It sounds like an amazing opportunity!
Did you receive a letter today? If so, I'm so sorry you didn't get in! I am also shocked the letters are coming so early.
What state do you live in? I'm just curious because I'm wondering when I'll get mine. I'm sorry you didn't get in. It's so competitive and I think everyone who applied was more than qualified, but there's so many people for a small number of spots.
