I'm not sure of the psych program specifically. I remember at orientation, they told us they had accepted maybe 30% of applicants to start this past Fall for the whole grad school. How that is divided between specialities, I'm not sure. I do know people who haven't gotten accepted to their respective programs they applied for.
I like the program. The format is perfect for me. If you are not in-state, do be warned that out-of-state students have had problems when it comes to clinical. Also, there are campus visits. They tell you in orientation, 2, but I have 4 for my first clinical course. One is 100% mandatory attendance. The others are recommended, but can be done by video.
I'm not sure if that's any different for psych! I'm in acute care.
It's going good. Nursing classes are pretty organized and planned well. I have 2 classes in summer which is full time and I am only working prn. Summer is very cramed in so I would limit the # of hours u take in summer. Fall should be easier. I see a lot of people dropping classes cause they have taken too much and working full time. I personally would limit my hours if u can. But I know people sometimes have to work.

Has anyone applied to or enrolled in the USC PMHNP program? I applied but the deadline is April and they will not review applications until that time I am told. I am curious about my chances of getting into the program. Is anyone in one of the other NP programs at USC? If so, was it difficult to get in and how is it going? Thanks in advance!
