Did anyone apply or submit the application for Summer 2024 CRNA at university of South Carolina. Am applying as well. Fingers crossed ?
@JacobmarY It was more intense than the other interviews I had however, I felt like I did very well during their interview and I did not even get waitlisted just a flat out rejection. I guess they had met their diversity quota.
JacobmarY said:I'm going to post this, because I feel it needs to be said. USC Columbia's interview was horrible. They're mean to try to see how far you bend before you break. It's one thing to test, it's a whole other thing to just be a bunch of bullies. They're shameful. Pitifully shameful.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience. However, I did not feel like they were mean at all. I honestly thought they were all very inviting and made a great effort to make all the interviewees feel comfortable. The panel laughed a good bit with me and helped guide the interview. Even made a few light jokes when I challenged them. Almost every program wants to question you to the point where you don't know the answer, to see how you react under pressure. It's intense, but I don't think it's meant to bully anyone. I've also interviewed at 4 different programs, some of them at the top ranks, and I felt USC's was much more laid back and friendly. This is also coming from an Asian American:)

I know there were 300+ applicants and over 110+ interviewees I believe. I'm sure you were amazing, but the competition is so incredibly high this year at every program. I hope you know that you are more than capable, obviously you know your worth because you know you killed it so I hope that energy makes a program say yes to you without hesitation!

No. After the sit alone interviews, the second group of interviewers came back to the main room, started saying everything they didn't want in an applicant while they casually glanced over at me—as in they literally stood there, looked me in the eye, and said everything that was wrong with me. No ma'am. Not okay. And this is supposed to be them being nicer. I can only imagine what they've done to previous groups.

Yeah. It was so stilted there. I'm sorry, but it was. It felt so fake. I feel like some of these programs just invite people out to pump money into the local economy. Waste of time.

Does anyone have updates on acceptances, wait lists, or rejections? I interviewed November 1st.
