Has anyone else applied to this program/start date?

Do you anticipate getting accepted or why not?

Where else did you apply or get accepted into?

I've applied to the FNP program staring in Spring 2017 as well.

This is the very first school I have applied. I have no idea if I will be accepted or not.

One of my colleagues applied to a NP program at USA (I don't know which track) and wasn't accepted because his GPA was 3.1. It sounds like many applicants have 3.5-3.6 GPA.

What was your GPA? What did your friend do, go somewhere else?

Specializes in ICU.

My GPA is enough to get accepted if what my coworker said is true. He switched his path to clinical educator elsewhere.

Well I hope you get in. I was expecting more responses on this thread, so maybe there were not many applicants for this start date.

Specializes in ICU, PCU.

I applied for the spring 17 entry at USA. I'm not sure if I'll get in- my BSN GPA is 3.4. I work with a lot of nurses who have applied and gotten in with similar GPA and less experience than I have, so we'll see! This is the first school I've applied to.

5 years experience is pretty solid I would think. Good luck! Post back in here when you get your letter.

I've applied as well, has anyone heard anything yet?

Did you apply for the FNP program? Have not heard anything yet.

AGACNP program, but considering changing after starting. We all take the same core courses, then branch off to subspecialties.

Let me know when you hear something. Did you apply anywhere else?

Applied to Duke and Georgetown. Backed out after talking to an NP that went to USA and enlightened me to the fact that the name on the diploma doesn't matter so why spend 10 times the cost for the same degree. I'll keep you updated.

Specializes in CVICU, Home Health, Triage, Hospice.

Hi NC-ED-RN, BSN I also applied to USA for Spring 2017. I just received an email from someone in the Academic Advising Department, saying that letters will be mailed out next Friday. I emailed them nearly 2 weeks ago asking what time frame they thought we might hear an answer. I applied to the AGPCNP program, hoping I will get in. My BSN GPA was a 4.0, but my ADN was not that great. I know Nursing CAS calculates them together for a cumulative GPA. Good Luck to everyone and please let me know when anyone hears something.

Thanks for the update about the letters. Good luck. Let us know when you hear.
