Is anyone applying to USA for fall 2014.

Trying to decipher the latest development in the Mystery of South Alabama. My friend received a JAG number in an email, and it seems to indicate that she has been accepted since she now has "secured access" to PAWS (Personal Access Web System).

From the USA web site:

[h=3][color=#000080]"PAWS is a web accessible, dynamic, and interactive computer system that provides services to students, faculty, and staff of USA based on their relationship to the University."[/h][color=#000080]

According to their FAQ:

"The Secured Access area requires both your JAG Number and your PIN. The

secured area contains information such as your financial aid status, schedule,

grades, student account information, unofficial academic transcript, etc."

So, now that she has a JAG number and a PIN number she seems to be able to access things that would only be of interest to someone who has been accepted.

Has anyone else had this experience with JAG numbers and PAWS access? ... and does all of this mean that she should expect an acceptance letter, or is this just something that is automatically sent to everyone who has applied? It's coming down to "crunch time" with respect to committing to some other schools, so if nothing happens with USA in the next few days she's gonna have to move on.

I got that same email with a jag number a few weeks after I applied. It was right around the deadline that I got it. I had to log in and state whether or not I was going to be getting financial assistance from my employer. A couple other people on here have gotten the same email. As to what it means about if we are accepted or not, it's only left to conjecture. Surely we all will get a letter sometime this week!

I too received a Jag #when I applied to the BSN program. I don't think it has much to do with being accepted into program of study. I could be wrong.

I'm from OK. I only applied to USA. If I don't get accepted I'll try another program.

I also applied at Drexel. I am on the wait list as of now. I'm tired of waiting lol
