University of South Alabama BSN-DNP Fall 2014

Hi, I also applied for the BSN-DNP for Fall 2014 (ER Track). I heard that we will find the result in 6-8weeks after March 1st. I got an email today from the school saying that more than 500 people applied for the BSN-DNP Fall 2014 program. I dont know how competitive it is to get accepted. Hows the ER track like? Good? Bad? Any tips? Thanks!

I got the same email too. I have applied for both Post BSN-ANP (MSN) as well as BSN DNP. Seems very competative. We will know by May 1st.

No problem! What is your nursing specialty? How many years of experience do you have? I live in Greenville NC. I have worked in Med/Surg, Stem Cell Transplant and now Gamma Knife Radiosurgery, about 25 years in all. It is hard to say how the selection criteria is applied, they have a tough job. If a combination of work experience, community service is applied, I may stand a remote chance, my GPA itself may not go a long way. Thanks

I work in long term acute care and about a year. I just wanted to go ahead and get school over with. I am worried because I haven't had that much experience.

Not yet, I went home yesterday afternoon from work to check the mail! I have two procedures going on today, can't leave work, or else I would have gone home to check. I want to know it either ways, it has been a long wait! Let us all hang in there.

No I have not heard anything yet, I went home yesterday afternoon from work just to check the mail, I cannot go today, have full load of work. Last few days are the worse!
