Hi! Congratulations!!! Do you mind telling us what was on your portal? Also, did you receive an email stating that all slots are filled or no?

On my portal, it just said status updated and decided. It sent me to a page that outlined my acceptance to the program. I did not get an email that was saying that the slots were filled or not. I did not receive any email other than the first email stating that I was still being considered and my acceptance email. I hope this helps.

No, under my status it just said decided with no link. However there was a separate update area on the portal that said "See What's New" and that had a link to my acceptance letter. Before that while I was still being considered it had said "Updates" and under that it said
GoodLuck! or something like that. Hope this helps.

Hey Guys, for those that got accepted, how long did you have to wait for you to get the verification code to work to pay the deposit? Because I have been trying to create the account to pay the deposit but no email or text message yet. I was wondering what was your guy's experience, as I do want to pay the deposit as soon as possible. Thanks!

Hey! Oh that was very frustrating!! But it worked for me the next day! Saturday around noon I was able to get a verification code... if it doesn’t let you by tomorrow afternoon call this number (415) 422-6668 it’s the IT help desk at USF because that is what I had to do and they helped me with it!

Thank you so much!!!!

I received an email today telling me all of the spots for the cohort for Fall 2019 were filled, does this mean I just didn't get in or is there still a small chance that there could possibly be spots opening? ?

I think what this means is that all the applicants from the first round were offered and those from that group who accepted the admission are secured in their spots and then those from the second round have been offered the remaining spots, like myself. Those that were offered admission from the second group have until May 14 to submit our deposits to secure their spot. From May 14, if there are remaining spots from the second group it will be offered to people in the waiting list, those that most likely received the "you are still being considered" email. And from what I remember last time, USFCA stated that they will continue to offer admission until all spots are filled. Meaning that they paid the deposit to secure that spot.

Okay, I see that makes perfect sense, thank you for clarifying that for me. Also, congratulations on your acceptance!! Best of luck ?

For those of you who got in the second time, can I ask what you changed in your application this time? Should I write long essays for each question next time? I don't know what else to do to improve my application anymore.

I think what changed for me was that I applied early this time instead of waiting till the last day to submit my application. What also changed was that I spent more time with my essays and showed my personality and how that fit into the mission of the VANAP program and the Jesuit mission. I truly believed in holistic nursing, I believed in my passion for nursing, and it showed in my essays. But I also think my academics spoke for themselves. I took calculus and organic chemistry etc and I think that was a factor. But I don't recommend taking above the minimum courses to be a better applicant. I think revising your essays and making it personal is a way to go. Hope this helps.

Hi future classmates!

I just got accepted for the Spring 2020 program. I also did not need the extra fall semester. They said they will send out the packet around mid-May. Best of luck to everyone else waiting (:
