University of San Francisco (USF) - Sacramento Campus BSN Fall 2024

Hello Everyone!!

I have not seen a post about USF Sacramento Campus BSN program for Fall 2024 so I decided to create one! I applied to the program and I just wanted to see and get to know people who have applied to the program as well! A little bit about me is that I graduated with a BSN in Health Science in May 2023. I know that the program prioritizes those who are transfers, but I still applied just because I just found out about the program not too long ago after I graduated. Hopefully this post finds those who applied as well! I am very excited to get to know you guys!

I have a bachelors in health science. I got it last year of Spring 2023. I went to 2 schools in undergrad so I have to GPAs. My school GPA is 3.8 and then my cumulative is 3.6 

I don't have any health work experience, but I wrote my heart out on those essays. Since the Sacramento campus is related to VA, I mentioned in my essays how my dad is a veteran and how my mom works at a VA hospital so I kind of know what it's like to work with veterans. I also mentioned in my essay that although I don't have health related work experience, I have a lot of experience working with kids at a very young age.

oh wow thats really great! I wish I applied to the Sacramento campus too 😞 I was thinking about it since I felt like I had a higher chance too since my husband is actually a veteran and I've been around the military environment for years too. but the SF campus was  closer and the campus is beautiful 😭 congrats on getting in!

hi! congrats 🙏🏽 sadly, I got offered admission for a different major. I'm thinking of doing kinesiology to hopefully go into PT/PA school since it's my back up. hope we see each other!

Don't give up on your dream. You'll get there somehow. Good luck!!

I still have Chemistry and Nutrition in progress. That's why I believe they offered me a spot in the Spring cohort.

With that would you have more than 90 units? I've heard usually only people with over 90 credits at time of admission get offers for Spring

I'm not sure about that. I think you're right. I currently have 89 units

Yeah that makes sense, because you will be over 90 once you finish, we'll congrats! I hope I see you when I get off the waiting list (manifesting)

I am still waiting to hear back from COM and CCSF. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck. If I am accepted to COM, you can take my spot 🙂

I'm assuming a lot of people are going to choose other places over USF due to how expensive it is, so I'm pretty sure I'll have a decent shot, at least I hope. I've worked super hard for this, so I hope it all works out.
