University of San Francisco DNP-FNP Program

Nursing Students NP Students

Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone has taken this program before?

I'm weighing the pros and cons and realize I really would love some insight into the program from current students/anyone familiar with it.

Its 4 years long, total cost of $108K, 1000 clinical hours, and I was told by the graduate admissions coordinator that typically the clinical placements are in hospitals.

I like that I get more clinical hours with this program vs programs that are 2 years with 540 clinical hours. But its so long! and SO expensive! (FYI I did my BSN in Canada where it's university is much cheaper).

Anyone have any opinions at all about this program? Good or bad, anything appreciated. Thank you!

I am also applying to this program and am wondering if it is worth the money. I want to have plenty of clinical hours as well, which is what drew me to the program, as well as the DNP aspect. Do you have any idea of when they announce admissions? Are they rolling? I will be hearing back from other universities soon and feel like the final deadline of May something is wayyyyyy too far away.
