University of San Francisco, California (USFCA) ME-MSN Program Summer 2023 (SF Campus)

Published

Hi! I haven't seen a thread for the Summer 2023 cohort for USFCA's ME-MSN program so I'm creating this one so we can chat! Good luck everyone, I hope you have all submitted your applications already!

Hi everyone! I found this thread by stumbling across the thread for the Spring 2021 cohort! Feeling worried after reading all their stats but remaining hopeful :) Goodluck to you all!

Hi! Do we have an idea of when we will hear back? Goodluck to you as well!!

I applied to the ME - MSN for Spring 2023 at the main campus and was waitlisted. I decided to remove myself from the waitlist and reapply for Summer. Hoping we hear sooner rather than later.

Hello! Congrats on making the waitlist as I am sure that shows you have a very good chance!

I believe the website says we should be hearing by 10 weeks. Based on that and the threads from the previous Summer cohorts I am guessing mid-march to mid-April is when wed be hearing back?

Commenting to stay on this thread ? Good luck to everyone!

I also got waitlisted and had to remove myself to apply for the Summer. Fingers crossed for us

Hey everyone! I'm following this thread because I applied to the Summer 2023 application as well

This will be my first time applying at the main campus location, I've applied twice to the OC location (got waitlisted both times). The OC location cohort size is very small (20 something), the main campus one is a little bigger (30 something). I'm based in SoCal, so the OC one is a lot more convenient but I applied to main campus this time to expand my chances

Good luck to everyone who has applied!

Does anyone know when we should be hearing back ?

I emailed the director of outreach & recruitment and he said "decisions will be sent out late March/early April" ?

Thank you for sharing ! The wait continues

For those applying, wanted to provide my experience. I was a part of cohort 30.

The program is a MESS. You will never get your desired clinicals, random instructors without a nursing background/foundation will be thrown in last minute because usf never has instructors to teach the courses, and the worst part; the NCLEX pass rate is atrocious. Our first time pass rate was a 32%, and several of has made to retake it multiple times (and we were considered one of the brightest cohorts in years). USF will not prepare you for the NCLEX; all of the questions throughout your courses will be pulled out from the Saunders book, meaning you will not learn critical thinking skills needed to pass the NCLEX.

USF LIES about their pass rate, and its very clear when talking to other cohorts as well. For the price you're paying, you're better off at your local state college or even CC. USF was a terrible choice and the biggest mistake I've made in my life ngl.

Please think through your decision before committing. You are charged a Premium price, but then given mediocre teachers, program director who thinks he is god because he went to duke, no access to simulation labs, and disorganized clinicals

sorry about the rant, but wanted to inform you guys as I see USF markets themselves to be a top ranking nursing program, but in reality, they're an overpriced school that can charge anything they want because it is sf
