Published

Hi! I haven't seen a thread for the Summer 2023 cohort for USFCA's ME-MSN program so I'm creating this one so we can chat! Good luck everyone, I hope you have all submitted your applications already!

Hi! I have not received an email yet. Did anyone else get this email?

Hello,

Unfortunately I saw the email ?

Hello,

For those of you that got in.

Do you know when you would start clinicals?

Hey everybody,

I officially withdrew my acceptance from USF today because I got into my top nursing program. It was a difficult toss-up for me especially with school starting in just a few days, but I hope my spot opens up for one of you guys who have been on waitlist.

Good luck!!

For those applying, wanted to provide my experience. I was a part of cohort 30.

The program is a MESS. You will never get your desired clinicals, random instructors without a nursing background/foundation will be thrown in last minute because usf never has instructors to teach the courses, and the worst part; the NCLEX pass rate is atrocious. Our first time pass rate was a 32%, and several of has made to retake it multiple times (and we were considered one of the brightest cohorts in years). USF will not prepare you for the NCLEX; all of the questions throughout your courses will be pulled out from the Saunders book, meaning you will not learn critical thinking skills needed to pass the NCLEX.

USF LIES about their pass rate, and its very clear when talking to other cohorts as well. For the price you're paying, you're better off at your local state college or even CC. USF was a terrible choice and the biggest mistake I've made in my life ngl.

Please think through your decision before committing. You are charged a Premium price, but then given mediocre teachers, program director who thinks he is god because he went to duke, no access to simulation labs, and disorganized clinicals

sorry about the rant, but wanted to inform you guys as I see USF markets themselves to be a top ranking nursing program, but in reality, they're an overpriced school that can charge anything they want because it is sf

I applied to the Spring 2024 term and saw your reply but when I went to your profile I was confused. Did you go to USFCA? Cause your profile has replies to multiple nursing schools.

Who is "em ruiz"? Cohort-30? That's ancient. His comment is exaggerated and outlandish. I'm in this program now and it has been one year. Dr. Kaddoura will prepare you well for NCLEX. The passing rate of previous cohort is about 92%. The clinical sites are well-established. There will be bumps in the journey, but it is not what "em ruiz" claimed "You will never get your desired clinicals". My interactions with cohort 34 & 35 and my own experience certainly disagree with what "em ruiz" claimed. These claims look like hyperbolic rants.

This is refreshing to know as I was looking to talk to someone in the program currently! I had only heard of for profit universities having issues with clinical placements. Thank you for the clarification!
