Hi everyone! About a week until our interview event :) I am excited to meet some of you and learn more about the program! For those of you attending the interview, why is USD one of your top choices, and are you considering other programs?

Honestly, because I'd rather go directly into an FNP program after the MSN, USD is not my first choice. However, it's a great school with a fantastic reputation for its nursing program. Also it's in a great location and the quality of education we'd receive would be hard to beat. Furthermore, we'd be competitive applicants in the workforce after graduation. It's a tough choice, but if I got into Samuel Merritt or Azusa Pacific I'd probably accept those offers over USD.

I got into UC Davis, but am I making a huge mistake by not at least coming to USD to interview? I'm just worried about cost and also the location - I have no connection to SD (I'm from norcal, but family in LA).

@popkern if you're definitely set on Davis then I wouldn't be too worried about going to the USD interview. I'm not sure how it works with waitlisted people, but if you decline, it might allow someone else to interview? The cost difference between Davis and USD is pretty crazy though haha. But if you think you're not going to go with Davis and want to go to San Diego then I would do the interview!

Hey everyone! For those who got an interview, I know we are suppose to dress professionally (suits) on interview day (Fri) but how formal are we suppose to dress on Thursday? What are you guys wearing? Thanks! :)

Yeah I'm not sure what to wear either on Thursday! I have a business casual dress with a blazer I could wear? Idk!

I'm planning on wearing a nice pencil skirt type of thing with a blouse and short blazer tomorrow. Friday I'm going to wear pants with a blouse and blazer.

Hi!! Good meeting many of you guys. I thought that USD was very welcoming & the interview went smoothly. I like how they allowed us to meet the 1st & 2nd years MEPNs. Yeah, I am just waiting... counting down everyday until the end of the month. I hope they will send out the acceptance through email and not snail mail though. haha. If I do get accepted, I am also a bit concerned about the tuition though.

Also, was anyone able to access the USD portal? I believe previous years were able to access the portal, but I tried & cannot!! I inserted my social security and everything.
