Published

Hi all,

I haven't found a forum for U of Roch nursing for Fall 2019. So I thought I should start one!

I didn’t honestly. But I’ll try again for sure! And apply to others. Any suggestions?

Hey there! I just wanted to personally tell you my story with u of r. I applied for January originally, got waitlisted due to my pre recs not all sent in before the decision date (but I finished them in dec), then got accepted from the waitlist 2 days before the January program started and had to decline due to just starting a new job. So I moved my app to the May start date, got straight up denied. Moved my app to the sept start date and now am finally accepted. Don’t give up hope. Keep trying and trying. They will see your determination. What I think helped me this time was my new experience as an ED PCT for 6 months. Good luck to you!!

Anyone have any information regarding deferment? I've been accepted for Fall semester but thinking about pushing enrollment until January

Your acceptance for the fall does not move to January. You will be re-considered with the January float pool so there is not a guarantee you will be accepted again

Did someone create a Facebook group??

I’m looking off campus because I think it would be cheaper. I’m going up near the end of July to look at places. One of the places is 6 mins from the school.

Off campus sounds like the way to go. With a roommate or two a nice place is definitely feasible. End July sounds a little late, because of incoming underclassmen. Will you spend a weekend? Or sought out a few places in advance?

Hey! I also got accepted to Duquesne and submitted my deposit because of the early deadline and was planning on going there! Then surprisingly the other day I got accepted to u of r. What made your decision on going to u of r instead of Duquesne?? I’m torn between the two!!

There are a bunch of factors that I considered! From what I hear, both are great schools so you can't go wrong with either. That is why it is such a tough decision! Rochester has an amazing reputation, it is closer to home, and is in a location that is much easier to navigate than Duq. Please message me on FB so we can talk about this more because I would love to hear your side of things!

Hey guys, I am a newly accepted student for the May cohort. Feel free to ask me any questions you would like!

Hi, please I will really appreciate your response, so how long did it take for them to get back to you when you got waitlisted. Just trying to have an idea. Thanks very much.

Although I personally do not know for this program, I think once the two week deadline to pay for enrollment passes for those who have been accepted, there should be a better idea and maybe more information around then about your chances, at least based off of other programs i applied to.

Is anyone interested in living in Collegetown?
