University of Rochester ABPNN Spring 2020

Published

Hi all,

I did not see another forum for the U of Rochester ABPNN Spring 2020 (January entry) yet, so I figured it would be a good time to make one since we will all be submitting our apps soon! Has anyone submitted yet?

That is absolutely ridiculous and inconsiderate to the students on the waitlist. How can you keep someone waiting that long.

Very ridiculous and frustrating.

I’m also currently waiting, but Miss Nancy mentioned that the waitlist is valid until the Friday before class starts. They will be resuming by January 13th, so hopefully we get called before then.

They resume January 13th I guess, will you be accepting the other school that called you, congrats.

I don't think so. I really want one of the NY one year programs. I have a few options now that I have been accepted to, I'm visiting two this week in Boston that I paid deposits on. I'm hoping to be called off this waitlist or hear from one of the other two schools in NY that I haven't heard from yet. The timing thing sucks.

What does "they resume Jan 13th" mean exactly? Like do they not call off the waitlist as people decline? or do they reevaluate everyone on Jan 13th and send out from there? Most people would have to accept somewhere else because a lot of schools start Jan 6 and tuition is due in Dec.

Sorry that was an error. The nursing program starts Jan 13(first day of class). I was told by admissions that they will have to reevaluate everyone on the waitlist when space becomes available.

I hope you hear back soon, same here I was really hoping I will get into the 1year program. University of Rochester was my first choice, but I hope I get called off the waitlist soon.

I was going to say - that's nuts. I'm sure most applicants are not from the Rochester area and need time to find housing.

I’m thinking of calling the school on Monday about the waitlist, did anyone hear back from the school yet about the waitlist.

Hey all! Is anyone here waiting on the May 2020 cohort? I applied and it’s been 8 weeks already, haven’t heard anything. Also- I am planning on doing the AMPNN if accepted too.

I applied for May 2020. I submitted my application late September, interviewed in October and was told by Nancy Kita that decisions won’t be made until January or February 2020.

Nice to hear from you! Can’t believe you’ve been interviewed. We have a forum for AMPNN May 2020- none of us have been interviewed yet.
