Starting a thread for the May, 2018 start date. Does anyone know the timetable for interviews and the process in general? I was hoping to keep in touch with others along the way. Thank you!
Hi everybody! I called Nancy this evening and she informed me that I have been accepted to the ABPNN program (I originally applied to the AMPNN). She told me she'll be making calls this week, but she goes alphabetically by last name. Hopefully this gives you an idea of when you might hear! She'll be mailing out the admission packets end of next week. Don't be afraid to call and ask - she was really friendly about it and it saves her a call also! Good luck!!
I'm happy I got accepted but I'm not sure if I will be accepting since it is the ABPNN program and I would have to re-apply after the year. Rochester is a really good school and I would've loved to attend if not for this detail. It does cost a lot of money also. I was accepted to other programs that are MSN-NP programs so I'm still thinking it over. What is everyone else thinking?

my thoughts exactly! From my understanding, people that got into the accelerated NP portion are RNs with Bachelor's degrees but not a BSN. Their website outlines that those that get in are more than a nurse's aid and have significant patient experience which is hard to get more than a CNA without being an RN. Just my understanding. It's helpful because that's how most people pay for the MSN portion so that's cool but when I applied to programs I applied wanting an Accelerated MSN and not a break in between but I was accepted to Rochester so lots to think about!!

Anyone know how they will pay for this program?
