Hello!
I'm applying to UP as a transfer student for 2012. Wondering if anyone else out there who is applying, or if any current students could share their thoughts about the program?
Thanks! :)

Not sure why they waitlist so many, when I called and got my number they told me... but we usually only get to 15-20 so don't hold your breath.
Thanks!

Got my acceptance letter yesterday, Spring 2013 :) I was really surprised to be accepted because I do not have a lot of volunteer or health care experience, just good grades. However, I thought my essay was pretty strong and may have been what got me in.

I would expect to see movement on the UP waitlist once OHSU mails out their decision letters. Some folks may bail at that time.
Good luck!
For those of you who were accepted, how many of you are taking out loans for this program? I assume that most students did not get the Prov Scholarship and are looking for their own funding. Is the cost a concern for you? How much (estimate) do you plan to cover through private loans? If you've already secured your loans, how difficult was it to get such a large amount?
Thanks

Hi Reid,
Me too. I need to call FinAid and talk this through with someone, but I am a little nervous about being able to get enough loan $. I have a prior degree so didn't get much from the gov't. I do not have the Prov Scholarship. I will have to take out loans for pretty much all of it...
