My friend and I were both wait listed. Any idea if we can find out our number on the wait list?

Hi ppenguin! I got my acceptance letter for Spring 2017. I am from out of state and have a ton of questions regarding the Portland area. I am a little apprehensive about moving there. I am from Texas and would love any advice from anyone who lives in Portland!

Hi all! I was accepted into the Spring 2016 cohort as well, and am over the moon!! Currently I'm living in Corvallis so my boyfriend could graduate from the Chemical Engineering program at OSU, and then I'm moving back to Portland (my hometown) this June. I'm really looking forward to meeting all of the accepted Spring 2016 students, and know that we are in for a wonderful experience at the University of Portland! :)

I was accepted for Spring 2016 as well - extremely excited as UP is my first choice program by far. I think if you call the admissions office they can tell you where you stand in the wait list. Good luck to both of you!
medinasn - congrats on the acceptance! Portland is a great place to live. What type of questions do you have?
Hi Samantha, congrats to you as well- look forward to meeting you next January!
Did any of you apply for the Providence scholars program? I have an interview next Saturday. Really looking forward to it, but I am a bit nervous as well.
Hiii SamanthaN2016!
Since you are from the Portland area I was hoping you might be able to answer a couple questions that I have. I am currently in the process of deciding between two nursing programs but UP is definitely my first choice.
You said that you are moving back to Portland in June and I was wondering if you had any suggestions on places to live that are close to the nursing school?
Hey, medinasn! I live in Portland too, in fact only about a mile from UP. I would suggested moving to North Portland (anything west of interstate and south of lombard is ideal)…. Also, North Portland really isn't all that big, so pretty much anywhere is ideal. UP is in between North Portland and St. John's neighborhood, so you could always try moving to St. John's - although that puts you out a little further from downtown and central Portland. Northeast Portland near Williams and Vancouver is relatively close as well. Let me know if you have any other questions!
xkgbx,
Thank you so much for your response! I'm actually going to visit UP this weekend, so hopefully I fall in love with the school so I can start figuring out where to live!
