Hi! I was offered an interview last Monday, and was in the virtual interview last Thursday as well. They talked about having another round of interviews this week or possibly next, but I don't know if they were in person or not.

How did that interview go?

im kind of disheartened to hear there's another interview and I wasn't offered one yet! 😞 I applied so early maybe it's just not my time IDK

Don't be too hard on yourself, it's just the first round. And just FYI it's taken me 3 years to get interviews just this year, so keep trying and get that resume tuned up! Also, they seem very fluid on how they were gonna handle and do interviews so they may not have sent any more out so don't quote me on that!

Interview format is definitely different from other schools, and meeting and talking with the faculty and students was amazing and fun! Good luck, I hope you hear something soon!

That's the thing,  I feel my resume is stacked, officially 8 years as a nurse come June. 2.5 years ICU, CCRN, TNCC, mission trips, research, 3.9 GPA, 4.0 science 😩😩😩😩

I got waitlisted at another school for an INTERVIEW. and my one coworker who had 1 year no ccrn, no leadership but is good friends with someone on the faculty got in.

im going to try and remain positive because its early in the cycle but ugh😩😩😩😩😩

Keep your head up!! I think they won't start sending out more invites till mid March. Last week they didn't even have March dates picked yet so it may be a matter of time!! You got this. I know that they also really looked at personal statements in the past but IDK about this year.

OMG, I almost had a heart attack seeing that email today/ this AM. But it's for one of the info virtual meetings, I keep getting emails for them. They have them scheduled every couple of months to give info on program and the application process. Now I'm on their mailing list for all of them apparently LOL, and makes my heart skip every time I see an email that says "Pitt"

The dept. chair during the interview, almost 2 weeks ago, said earliest we could hear back about possible acceptance is 2 weeks... so that will be this Thursday. But after reading the last 2 years threads on here...I'm not holding my breath... seems like they like to do all interviews first.

did they say they got another interview date set?

I took a bunch of notes:

basically there's 8-9 sessions (20 interviews each session) if you didn't get an interview yet you're still in the running don't lose hope.

they accept 60 students each cohort

Next batch of interviews is for the end of this month.

they only look at BSN & SCIENCE GPA's not nursing cas.

no NICU experience allowed.

stats course must be within 5 years.

no pass/fail BSN programs allowed.

Everyone one is in competition. They review apps immediately once all materials are received.

they use a score system and you are scored based on the materials submitted
