I am about to begin semester 2, and so far, so good. I was on the waiting list for FRCC (signed up in May 2012) and recently got an email from FRCC saying they had openings (from the waiting list) for a fall start. Obviously I turned it down as I am already at UNC, but this is just to give you a little perspective on where they might be on exhausting the waiting list (at Larimer). I really like UNC. I think it's a good idea to go for your BSN as long as you can afford it. UNC is priced well IMO, and most hospitals are going to BSNs only, with current RNs with an ADN having to to get their BSN by a certain date. At least that was the case at the hospital I did my clinicals at.
A lot of students seem to live in Ft. Collins and do the commute. The professors so far are really supportive and I want to say that the attrition rate is like 0%. I'm not sure what the entering GPAs were for our class, but I think it was pretty high. The nice thing is that they use the last 45 credits along with double-weighing certain classes, like A&P, basically your core pre-req nurse courses. PM if you have anymore questions.

Hi everyone,
I thought about starting this topic for those of us starting this summer at UNC. I will be in the 2nd degree program, but I know others will also start the traditional during the summer as well. I know some of us have met in classes this semester already, but just in case...
About me:
My name is Alexandria, I go by Ally. My previous degree is a B.S. (truly
) in Communications. I am married and we have one wild child, aged 2.5. I am very excited to start the program after countless pre-reqs taken for this school and others! I live in Frederick, so if anyone is nearby and interested in car-pooling, that would be great.
