Good morning all!
I searched to see if anyone had already started a topic on applicants for the UNG Fall 2017 cohort since applications just opened at the beginning of the month, but didn't find one. Please feel free to move this if I missed it!
With that being said, how many of you have applied for the program already? I just wanted to have a place where we could all chat and share our anxieties while waiting on acceptance (hopefully!) letters!
I'm Heather. I just transferred to UNG so my first semester will be this coming Fall. I have about 6 more classes to take before the program starts and am currently studying to take the HESI next month. I have 2 children, 12 year old boy and 2 year old girl, and work in the service industry. Tell me about yourselves!
Also, for what it's worth, when I was at orientation the nursing advisors said averages for those accepted last semester were 3.6 GPA and 87% on the HESI. Obviously, those numbers vary greatly depending on the applicant pool, but it does help give some idea about what we should expect.
Good luck, everyone!
Also, I see that NURS 2603 is required before starting the program in the fall. Do you guys know how transfer students are supposed to go about signing up for that class? When applying for the school, I applied for Fall 2017 admission, not Summer 2017 so I don't know if I'm eligible to sign up for the class. Are we supposed to apply for summer admission as well? I'll call the school and ask, but any insight from someone that knows would be appreciated!

For all I know, we were suppose to apply for summer 17. Just call and ask too.

Do you guys know anyone that has previously graduated from the nursing program that could speak to its rigor? I want to work while in school and I just want to know if anyone has done it and could possibly give advice!
