Looking to see if anyone has any input on UM's program. Starting there this fall and was hoping there would be people on this forum that could give me some reviews. Thanks!

Was it hard to get in? Would you mind to share your stats, please? And do you know how competitive this program at this particular university? TIA and good luck!

Starting in Fall 2020.. how is the program this far for you all? Do you like it? What do you like/ what don’t you like? Appreciate the info!

Congrats! It's been great so far. First semester was tough but had plenty of time to study. Professors are great and very willing and available for questions. You will study a lot lol so enjoy your free time while you have it.

I would be out of state so I’m just weighing the cost vs other programs. Do you feel that UM is worth the cost? Is there any cons that you’ve come across your first semester? Thanks again!

Hello, I’m in the process of applying to UM Flint but had a few questions. Im not from the area but do know that Flint is considered a dangerous city and have had a tap water crisis recently. For those of you who are familiar with the area, where are you guys planning on living while going to school?

We have a couple people in our cohort that are from out of state and they seem pretty happy/satisfied with how things are going as far as I know. UM is a very well respected program and you realize that more and more after you start getting into things. Overall, its just hard work but doable. All the instructors are great and want you to succeed.

Flint's just like any major city, there are good parts and parts to avoid. At the school campus they have all the water sources filtered to ensure its safe for the students and faculty. I live outside of flint with a couple of my classmates but its only a short drive to campus. There are plenty of options available for housing around campus and the area.

To those who’ve been admitted, can you explain the format of the interview? Helpful study material? Is it group interview or individual? I plan to study drips and CCRN material. Thank you in advance.

Im in my first year, my interview consisted of test (think it was like 50 questions) can't really remember. I then met with a couple of senior students, talked about the program, their experiences in the program. They also helped me with what to expect in the interview and gave me a few pointers. I think they actually helped my anxiety go down a little, lol. Then after that, I went in for the real interview which was a panel type. There were 5 people in mine who interviewed me. My anxiety was off the roof walking in there, but I think the small talk I had with everyone in the room at the beginning actually helped a lot. I felt like it was laid back and the interview commitee just want you to be yourself. Im sure you have probably heard this many times, but I can't emphasize this enough, be honest, don't ***, if you don't know something, just be honest, they don't expect you to know everything. Smiles, eye contact, these will be your friends too.

As for the test, the CCRN material definitely help. I found this very helpful and I think it helped me a lot with the test (https://www.crna-school-admissions.com/ace-any-crna-school-interview/). Know to interpret your blood gases, know your waves for swan-ganz. Hopefully this helps. Good Luck!

How long after your interviews did it take to hear of your acceptance?

I interviewed Nov 14th for early admission and received my acceptance call Dec 3rd.

Anybody who interviewed for regular admissions hear back yet? I was told we would hear this week or next week.
