Hi Everyone!
I could not find a post for the 2021 DNP applicants at University of Michigan, so I wanted to make one. I applied for the DNP Midwifery program, and I have submitted my KIRA interview. I am hoping to hear back soon about an in person interview, if selected.
I wanted to know what specialties everyone is applying to, and what they have heard thus far regarding their admissions? We can all be nervous here, together.
Also, if anyone has attended their CNM program, do you have any tips or advice?
Thank you, and good luck to all :)

I still haven’t heard anything and am feeling anxious.
Thank you! My interview is next Thursday and when they reached out to me regarding it, they did not give any options for other days. So, maybe they are just reaching out one week in advance to schedule interviews?
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you hear something soon! And I feel you on the anxiety.
Update: I also received a request for an interview next Thursday this morning! For all of those that didn’t get a request, please don’t be discouraged. I know the anxiety and stress is super overwhelming, but they have said on multiple accounts that getting an interview doesn’t really mean anything. You maybe have just blown them away with your app and KIRA talent and they have already made their decision!! Good luck to everyone!

I found the interview to be pretty low stress and they really just used them to learn a little bit more about you and to ask clarifying questions. The main interview questions asked were very similar to the personal statement questions from the application. It felt to me like the interviews were to gain more details and information on an applicant.

I agree! I feel like the whole point was just to get to know the applicant better. They asked interview questions and clarifying questions based on those answers, but definitely tried to make it more of a conversation. I feel like it went well overall. Especially with it being on Zoom, the environment was very relaxed.
I applied to the FNP program and I got an acceptance email, but before getting that email I had heard nothing for about 3 months after completing my kira interview. I think it's different for each concentration in regards to if you need to interview/ when you will hear back, that is what I gathered when I asked those questions.
There's still a lot of time left so I wouldn't stress if you don't hear back as soon as you expected. ?
to anyone reading this, reply if you got in!
Good luck everyone!!
