Was just accepted into UM's basic track nursing program beginning next fall, I am a transfer student who will enter as a junior and just seeing if anyone else on this site is going there or has been there and has any advice.
that's great!
I know tons of nurses that went to miami dade then transfered to UM, study hard
i graduated from um class of 2004. i came to um with a bs from barry and now i have an ms from barry as well. i can easily say that my time at um was among the most challenging of my life. i have never studied like i did then. graduate school was easy by comparison. it is also memorable because i will never experience any time like that ever again in my life. many of the professors i was lucky to have, are not there anymore. however, there are 4 left that i did have and i will never forget. ob-gyn wtih ms.w, med-surg clinicals with mrs.a and psych with dr. w and of course, community health with dr.h. i hope you find out who they are and are lucky enough to study under them. do not take to heart fear or dread that is communicated in some of these postings. nursing school is 2 years of trying to fill your mind with knowledge and build a foundation of skills that you will continue to build on for a life time. i hope for you, nursing school does not put the flame out in your heart that burns warm and bright and has brought you this far. nursing school is not the end of the road but only the beginning.:heartbeat
I was accepted to the Accelerated BSN track. But, supposedly we only have a summer semester different and then fall we are going to be worked in with the basic RN tracks. Congrats.
