Awww ? I’m considering it! Will give me a chance to work and go to school!

I mean, I am considering it, but I am nervous about the lack of scholarships for the part time program.

Hey guys, I recently got accepted into the full time FNP program for the fall. I'm so excited to start! Is anyone else coming from out of state? I would love to connect or create some type of group

Yay! Congrats :)

im not from out of state and I went to UM for undergrad so if you have any questions let me know.

I think we should make a facebook group or some thing for our cohort!! what do you think??

Yes, thats a great idea!

I started a facebook group if anyone wants to join for our cohort.

Specializes in L&D.

Hi does anyone know if this program is possible to do while also working full time?

Specializes in ICU & aesthetics.

I had my interview in March I ended up hearing back a month later as well but had to go through another interview a month later and got into their part-time option I think due to lack of nursing job experience

Can anyone share their experience of how is this program?  Where do you do your clinicals, etc?

I am applying for UM FNP fall 2023, I really need to ask someone some guidance, or if someone is willing to mentor me through is I would highly appreciate it.

if no-one is available I have a quick question about clinical placement, how does it go and what are the hours?

Hi there! Best of luck to you. I graduated from the program in august 2022. You can shoot any questions my way. You can message me if you like. Clinical placement is determined by the school but if you have someone who is willing to precept they will usually let you after you give them the info of the preceptor. After Covid, schools have been having issues finding clinical sites s for all students. More so for pediatrics and women's health. Hours depend on what you work out with your preceptor and the requirements for the program that semester. It depends on whether you are doing full time program and part time. At the end of the program what really matters is that you have met the minimum I think 500 hours

For the hours, some preceptors will allow you to come multiple times a week, all day. While I've heard of others that only allow 4 hours or so a day which would require multiple sites or multiple days in the week to meet the semester requirements. But this is usually somewhat flexible
