Hello everyone,
I decided to start a thread that pre-nursing students of the U of M could converse about classes and its difficulties; also your expectant date for applying to the Loewenberg College of Nursing. It will be great to share our experience as we embark on the journey to nursing school. We can also continue this thread once we enter nursing school. I find it reassuring to chat with like-minded people who are pursuing similar goals. Furthermore, as we all know, there are many sacrifices when pursuing nursing and it is great to converse with individuals that can relate to its demands.
I'll start first.
For the fall semester I'll be taking Micro, Psychology, and Wellness Concepts Practice. I plan to apply to the program by October. Micro lab and Psychology are my two on-campus classes. I took two classes at the UofM over the summer. This will be my first time taking campus classes at the UofM. I took most of my prereqs at Southwest. So far my gpa is 3.62. I'm hoping that it will be seen as competitive for the spring nursing program. I do plan to take advantage of the Rec Center while attending my on-campus classes. If you're not familiar with the Rec Center, it's fitness center for faculty members, students and their families, and membership holders free of charge.
I'll like to hear your aspirations for the fall.
Classes start August 28th!
Good luck everyone!
