Hi I will be applying to the University of Memphis - Loewenberg College of Nursing for the Spring 2018 semester. Thought I'll make a thread for everyone else who will be applying for this semester and we can share updates and stats with each other :) super nervous because my stats are not the highest but was told it really depends on who all applies with you for that semester. Heard stories about people getting in with a 2.8 to a 3.2 so it depends but Good luck to everyone and God bless!
Not sure if anyone answered you if you log into your student account in the top right hand corner there is a link for umail, it is the same login as your MYmemphis login.
Hi everyone. I was admitted into UofM this summer and I applied for spring clinicals as well. I did not set up the school Microsoft email at the time though. Can someone pls explain how I can get access to the Microsoft email account pls.
Hi everyone! I'm about to finish my first semester of nursing school at Loewenberg, so the entire application process still feels so fresh to me, so I understand all the anxiety you all had!
First of all, congrats to everyone who has been accepted! To everyone that unfortunately did not get accepted, do not be discouraged! The requirements can be very tricky to get in. As I'm sure most of you know, there are 3 required sciences, and 3 corresponding labs you must complete. You can have 2/3 completed by the time you apply, but all 3/3 must be completed by the end of that semester (the semester before you would start nursing school.) Remember your GPA for your sciences must be a 2.66. You also must have all your general education requirements completed, with the exception of no more than 2 outstanding. You also most have either psychology or sociology completed, a nutrition class, and statistics class. Since this program is very competitive (as you all know), it is better to have all of these classes done by the time you apply, if possible, because only 150 best of the best students are accepted. The semester that I applied for last year, over 800 students applied and only 150 get in each semester. So naturally, they are going to accept students with the highest GPAs and most of the pre-requisite material finished. They told us that nobody with a cumulative GPA lower than a 3.3 got admitted (unless they were pre-admitted from high school, which is a whole different conversation). So, I hope this clears up some questions and confusion.
Good luck to everyone accepted, the real stress begins now-work hard everyday! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Do not hesitate to reach out!
