Does anyone know the answer to this one?

At the info session, they said they will mostly be looking at last 60 but will consider everything. 3.0 is the cutoff to get reviewed but they did say they were looking ideally for 3.5 GPA and above

Thank you for this information. My cGPA is about 3.2 and my sGPA is lower due to my poor attempt at my first degree 15 years ago. However, my last 110 credits is a 4.0 (I have A LOT of credits). NursingCAS just makes it look incredibly low since it doesn't replace grades. I appreciate the information. Good luck everyone!

Hopefully there is still a light.. I have seen on Reddit some people at UIC in recent programs received acceptance emails before their status changed in their portal.

I was looking for this on Reddit LOL. So I'm glad you saw it

I got waitlisted today too.

Same boat as well. I wish nursing CAs would replace grades. Thank you so much for this!

Did you status ever change from "completed, under department review" ? Like did it change to additional review required or no

Last time I checked my portal was this morning at 9am and it still said "completed under department review" then I just checked again at 3:45 and it said "waitlisted". I hadn't checked for a few hours because I was sleeping so it might have changed between then, but I haven't received any emails from them. Does anyone know if they addressed how the waitlist works during the info session?

when did you apply?

My application status still says "additional review required". I see everyone else getting decisions made... anyone else still in the same boat as me?

Nope you're ahead of me. Mines under review still

Mine went straight from under review to waitlisted. Nothing in between.

I found these tidbits under UIC for the admission process and unsure what it means for everyone but at least there's a process:

Departmental Review

After all Admissions requirements are satisfied, application records are referred to the program for their review, though programs may have already begun their review by that time. Admissions and program staff are able to access application materials after they are submitted. Applications are typically reviewed in the order they are received.

The time that it takes for an application to go through the review process varies by program. After the program has completed their review of an application, they communicate their admission recommendations and denials to Admissions and we update the official record after a final quick review. Some programs communicate their decisions to Admissions continually throughout the cycle while others do so in bursts. Ultimately, it depends on the timeline and approach each program takes for their review.

Graduate College Review

In certain cases where minimum requirements are not met or additional approval is needed, applications recommended for admission by Graduate College programs may need to undergo an additional review by the Graduate College. The Graduate College may decide to uphold the program's admission recommendation or, in certain cases, deny the application.
