University of Illinois Chicago DNP Nurse Anesthesia Fall 2025 start! Starting this discussion because I could not find one, who has applied? Who was able to attend the information session and could share some information for those that missed it? Thank you!

Still "complete, under department review" for me! Taking deep breaths and hoping that maybe they are waiting until tomorrow (when I have a couple days off) so I can celebrate! 😌

I want to explain the process from what I have now experienced and found on UIC grad portal, different reddit pages and forums online. As I have been a mess and checking every site online possible while anxiously waiting.

The overall UIC process appears to be a tiered process, you submit then go to department review then to admissions final review. Admissions seems to be responsible for giving the final green light!

Your account should start at submitted—> complete, under department review (CRNA faculty are reviewing your app here)—>additional review required (a decision from CRNA program was likely made and submitted to admissions)—> blank (if you check frequently enough, don't assume based on other forums saying a blank is a definite rejection. I did that this morning and freaked myself out. Essentially this means admission department is finally doing their final review and about to send you an answer)—>admission decision in portal 2-3pm chicago time—> email to follow later that evening!

I applied mid to late March. Best of luck to all. It is a hard process. Took 2 waitlist and rejection before this.

This was helpful, celebrate big on your near future as an SRNA/CRNA!

Yes. I would love to know stats of those accepted please. I asked earlier and no one replied.

My nursing GPA was a 3.8 and masters degree in clinical management 3.9. I have my CCRN. 2.5 years CVICU experience at a level 1 trauma center and 6 months of travel nursing at general ICU/CVICU. Hope this helps!

Specializes in ICU.

Hey everyone-

my application just changed to "waitlisted" 🤬 has anyone else received this? This waiting to get an official email...

Mine still says the same but I had a feeling that everybody with that was gonna end up being waitlisted. If three people on this forum got accepted, I'm sure many more were sent out. Probably just waitlist and denials now. Hopefully not. But I worried that waitlist results would be coming

Yep. Mine still says the same. Also thinking they are done admitting at this point.

Hopefully there is still a light.. I have seen on Reddit some people at UIC in recent programs received acceptance emails before their status changed in their portal.

Also, I was told by someone that UIC looks at the last 60 credits but when I last searched the site, I didn't see that anywhere. Anyone know what GPA(s) UIC looks at? Thanks!

Does anyone know the answer to this one?
