University of Houston 2nd Degree BSN Spring 2019

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if anyone has made a thread for the Spring 2019 cycle application but here's the thread. A little information about me i graduated at the University of Houston Spring 2017 with a bachelors in psychology and minor in psychology. I'm seeking to get a second bachelors degree in nursing. This program is very rigorous and competitive so im nervous about getting in. I'm taking my TEAS by the end of June. Good luck to everyone!

I received an email yesterday afternoon about something they need before the interview date, but it wasn't a formal invite. They are definitely working on it though. My guess is we will be hearing from them this afternoon. From all the reading I've done 2pm seems to be the time of day they like to send out emails. Try not to stress too much! I a

Thank you so much for that information! That definitely has helped me to be less stressed lol. What was it that they needed from you? I'm worried that they might need another transcript from me because NursingCas was unable to verify my degree.

Don't worry! They were asking for a letter from the dean of another college I attended because they wanted to confirm good academic standing in a previous nursing program. It wasn't something they were asking to receive from everyone.

Ah okay. They didn't happen to mention when the formal invitations would be sent out, did they?

I wish! I'm just making guesses like everyone else. They usually have admissions decisions made by the end of the month though. I can't imagine there's much more time to keep us waiting...

I'm going to assume that we will hear something by the end of this week, since they are going through applications now.

I'm curious now if people also received this email when they submitted their application. I submitted mine around Jun 15 and got this email afterwards:

"Greetings from the University of Houston College of Nursing. Your NursingCAS application has been received and is under review.

If additional information is needed, an academic advisor will contact you. Once the review process is complete, you will be contacted to let you know your application is pending the UH College of Nursing Admission Committee Team meeting in September.

An Interview Day is included in the admission process.

On campus Information sessions are hosted by UH College of Nursing academic advisors, faculty, and current students to help answer any questions you may have. Be sure to ask about scholarships!

We look forward to reviewing your application!"

I wonder if anyone will indeed contact you to let you know your application is pending review?

Yes i got that email as well mine was back in June tho. I haven't gotten anything since then and this was sent from UH. I haven't gotten anything since then.

I received the above email and then one other from a nursing counselor type of person to remind me to update a grade from a class I planned to retake..
