Just started the app for this school's program. Anyone else thinking of applying here? I'm pretty annoyed at how expensive the application is: $100 for the grad school and $65 for the NursingCAS application system! This will be one of my fallback schools in case I don't get into my favorites...but the surf life and the tropical breeze does sound very very appealing! Also, anyone know anything about this school's reputation?
That's great @samdaman, very promising! Did the person give a title when he called you? It's nice he gave a heads up that they look very favorably at overseas experience. That must be reassuring for you. Good luck!
@Samdaman did it just got sent out tonight? and when does it say you have to get back to them by? I am so confused because Shannon said that they aren't sending emails, just letters.
Yup just got the email a few hours ago! Here's a copy of the email I got:Thank you for submitting your application for the Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa! Congratulations! We would like to offer you admissions for our MEPN fall 2013 cohort (Cohort 6). You will receive a letter from the University of Hawaii Graduate Division office within a few days and an official acceptance letter from the University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene shortly, along with additional documents. Congratulations! I'm sure everything will work out for you or if you explain to Shannon that you need more maybe they will give it to you. Hopefully they haven't sent out ALL of those emails yet....
I just got an email acceptance this evening too! So glad to know before the holiday break since I was debating applying to an ADN program as a back-up. Now the anxiety of actually attending, paying for it, and getting through! Best of luck to all of you.
