University of Florida Accelerated Nursing Program 2017

I know the applications don't open for another month, but I have been reading the threads from previous programs and wanted to start one for ours!

Anyone looking to get into the ABSN program at UF, Summer 2017?

Go Gators!

I've been reading them too! I am looking to apply! :)

Hey guys! I will be applying for Summer 2017 as well... FYI application opened today :) good luck!!!

Hey everyone! I have the application started. I am applying to several schools and all the apps have different requirements- its a little stressful!

Hi guys! I'm applying for Summer 2017 too. Feels like the deadline is right around the corner, eek!:nailbiting:

Hello, I am also applying for the 2017 accelerated BSN program. I am concerned about my GPA. I do have a 3.7 in my last 60 credits but my prereq GPA is a 3.6. I know its fierce competition out there. I know experience is not required but I have been and ER Vet Tech for 10 years and UF said they look at that as experience. Good luck to everyone and its great that we can bounce off questions out here!

Hey guys I am applying to Jacksonville Campus for Summer 2017. I have Submitted my post-bacc application but haven't heard anything back yet. How long did it take you guys to hear back? I'm just waiting on that to get a UF ID to turn in my Nursing CAS app.

Hey! When did you submit your post bacc app? I mailed mine last week on the 18th and still haven't heard anything back. I imagine they probably have a lot of them coming in with the deadline coming up, so maybe it takes longer than the 2 weeks since I turned mine in.

I submitted mine a week ago as well, I was just hoping to know if they received it.í ½í¸ž I'm sure they have, just nerve racking..

I agree!!! I can't submit my app completely because I'm waiting on references anyway, but it would be nice to get another part of the app completed. I'll post on here when I get the letter.

I sent in my post bacc app about a week ago, and am still working on my nursing CAS application. I got an email about the upcoming deadline, so I am assuming they must have received my post bacc application.

I am also a little concerned about my qualifications, as I know there is some serious competition to get into an accelerated program. My masters GPA is 3.95, but my pre-reqs will be slightly lower. When I spoke with the advisor, he stated that they focus on either your last 60 credit GPA or your graduate GPA - whichever is the last degree you earned. I'm not sure if that means they weigh that more than your pre-reqs, or vice versa, but I am hoping for the first.

I was a little happily surprised that they take UF grads into consideration... I'm trying not to put too many eggs in one basket, but it would be awesome to be a double Gator.

Are you guys filling out the experience, certifications and awards or whatever the third item was in nursing CAS or just giving them your CV?
