Stalking some posts from last year it seemed like 2/23 was a big day for a lot of decisions ... and then 2/27 for some waitlisters? I'm just gonna hold my breath and expect decisions to be released 2/28 LOLOL also found then usually the first 15 or so waitlisted ppl have a very very strong chance of getting in!

Hi, I'm using an AP score for one of my prerequisites. I've already sent it through CollegeBoard, but does anyone know if this will eventually reflect on my application? Or should I maybe reach out to confirm with them? Also did other people get an application status update yesterday, 11/13?

Hi, I suggest reaching out to the Admissions Team to get an accurate answer to that and ensure that you're not missing anything. For the status update, I did not receive one yesterday, but I can see the status online.
I got a status update with information I'm missing LOL grateful for that. But they wanted my AP scores too so I emailed them back with my situation—I took AP Psych in 2017 so I need to send snail mail to get my score report :dead: I plan on confirming with them a month from now to see if they received it in the mail

Hi everyone! I am currently a MECN 1 finishing up my first quarter at UCLA, and I love the program! I am so excited for all of you. I remember how nervous I was this time last year, so I can understand to some extent what you may be currently experiencing. I wish you all the best of luck. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. 🙂

Thank you so much for your willingness to help and offering your time to address some questions we may have. 🙂

Hi I was wondering what tips you can give for applying the following year. I couldn't apply this year but I hope to next year! What do you think your strongest point was? Resume? Do you think they heavily look at your personal statement more? I'm so anxious so I wanted to ask for any advice on what others who were accepted did, thank you and good luck to all fellow future nurses!

Hi! I commend you for starting to think about the application process well in advance-I also asked current MECN students for application advice when it was time for me to apply, and I found it to be very beneficial. To answer your question, I focused heavily on my personal statement and statement of purpose. For the personal statement, I discussed a major setback in my life, but turned it into a story of resilience by including how I overcame my struggles and rose above them. I know that's pretty vague, but you can find your story!
I actually submitted a curriculum vitae. It was filled with accomplishments, awards, honors, hospital experience, and, this is very key, a lot of community service leadership roles. Find ways to stand out in your application, and share your specific nursing plans and goals.
I hope that was helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Best of luck with your application!
