it was definitely a struggle. I chopped down my personal statement for another school. its hard to make your self stand out in just 250 words.

Is anyone aware of the requirements for the statement of purpose...I can't seem to find it on the website (ie min/max words or pages, etc)

I emailed the program regarding the information sessions coming up...but is anyone aware of a web based option for applicants who are unable to attend?

TIA!!

That's gonna be rough. My personal statements have averaged 500 to 750.

Mine is a 1 1/2 pages. Oh well.

From the information I found on tuition, the out-of-state tuition is almost double the in-state tuition. (yikes)

The good thing for me is that I qualify for in-state tuition since I'm a member of a Native American tribe that at one point lived in Arkansas. Those students get in-state tuition in any program for the University of Arkansas.

I'd just like to point out the in-state tuition rates apply after the first semester of school if you apply for residency at the beginning of the program (according to one of their open house information sessions).

How did the open house go? Any other useful information?

I found it very difficult to reduce my Statement of Purpose down to 250 words but I did it (249 words). I will be submitting my application in a few days. For anyone that has submitted their application; did you reference get and email before or after you submitted the application? I check with one of my references and they haven't received anything yet but I also haven't submitted it yet.

I’m going to submit mine this week. I’ll check with my references and see. Have you heard anything from anywhere else you applied ?

Just waitlisted at Mount Marty. UAMS will be the last school that I apply to this cycle.
