University of Arizona Fall 2020 BSN-DNP

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello!

I just got into the U of AZ Fall 2020 BSN to DNP program for pediatric primary care. I am starting this topic to see if anyone who has attended this program could give me some more information? How did it go with the online classes? Was it tough to find clinical sites? Did you work full time? Did you feel prepared to work as a nurse practitioner upon graduation, etc? Thanks so much for any information!

I was in a small cohort and most of us worked full time the first 1-2 years. However, I worked three 12 hours shifts so I had plenty of time to get school work done. I know a few of the other peeps who had typical 9-5 jobs did have to go down to part time a little sooner.

Thanks so much for the quick response. That makes me happy to hear, as it seems to be tough to find a good part time job at the moment (with benefits, etc.). Last question, did you like the U of A program and is there anything you may warn a prospective student of?
