University of Arizona DNP-PMHNP 2021

Published

Hello, all.

I wanted to reach out to those that have applied and are waiting on acceptance or who have already been accepted to UofA's DNP-PMHNP starting Fall of 2021. I was recently notified of my acceptance to the program. Please say hello if you were accepted or are waiting on acceptance!

Congratulations to everyone who made it in the program! I am very interested, but I want to keep working while in the program. Does anyone know people who work full time in this program? Even the part time option says you should drop down to part time in the first part of the program and that RNs should only work one day per week during the last year of the program. I don't think I can afford to work only part time for almost 4 years. Are you all dropping down to part-time?

Congratulations to you as well!

Most of my friends in NP school worked almost full time the first year but per diem so they had more control of schedule. The pay is usually more depending on what state you are in and how long you have been an RN. Once clinicals start, they were usually able to pick up when they had time off. Definitely time management and sacrifice for a few years but worth it once finished! Also you may check out companies like Medeley, it’s 1099 work so be careful there but even more flexible with schedule. You can book up to day of sometimes.
